The Benefits Of Our Microcement Training Course

Updated April 2026

Are you a certified renderer, plasterer, or concreter wanting to learn to install microcement or looking for a microcement supplier? Our microcement training course is designed for professionals who want to expand their range of premium finishes, and we’re taking bookings through to the rest of the year. It’s open to attendees from all states in Australia, as we're building a national network of applicators.

Drawing on 25+ years of experience and case studies, our sessions cover the installation systems for X-Bond Microcement and/or Quartz Carpet in sessions that run over one or two days. Our support extends beyond training day with loyalty benefits for frequent orders, personalised customer service and project troubleshooting.

Booking your spot in our training course can expand your business for many reasons. Here’s a more in-depth look at the benefits of the Seamless Overlays Training Courses in Microcement and Quartz Carpet installation — book now.

Our brand has a long-standing history.

For over 25 years, we’ve been supplying and installing X-Bond Microcement. We’re proud to say that nobody else in Australia can offer that depth of experience, as X-Bond was the first microcement of its kind in the country when we brought it to market in 1999. Unlike newer microcements out there, you can be assured that X-Bond ages well — and we have the long-term case studies to prove it. If you value durable results for your clients and want to avoid expensive call-backs, this reassurance is important.

Exclusive product access.

We supply our microcement products exclusively to trained applicators, ensuring every project meets high standards of quality and performance. Completing our training is the only way to gain direct access to our systems.

Our support is ongoing.

We’ve created a resource portal for trained installers, featuring technical data sheets, installation guides, refresher videos, product information, and links to order materials. We also offer loyalty benefits for applicators who order frequently from us. Our team is also available to help troubleshoot any technical problems you face on the job — just call any time. We’ve got decades of hands-on expertise and we’re happy to share it, both on training day and beyond.

You’ll be qualified to install our products in just one session.

Installing our X-Bond Microcement and Quartz Carpet differs slightly to other overlay systems, but surfacing professionals will be able to easily pick it up. Our training course is designed to teach you everything you need to know in one session (one day per product) under the guidance from our team. You can start offering high-quality surfacing solutions to your customers ASAP. It’s perfect if you’ve got project leads coming in but don’t have the product to meet demand.

Easily view and order materials or samples.

We strive to offer the most efficient experience in-person and online. At our showroom in Melbourne, we offer a tailored customer service experience. Through our resource portal, you can easily order our Microcement and Quartz Carpet materials for your project. When you place orders with our warehouse, we endeavour to send your product out as quickly as possible.

If you want to become a part of the Seamless Overlays network, register for a training session via our easy online booking system.

Some of the frequently asked questions about our training courses include…

Do you get certified after microcement training?

We provide a certificate of completion, confirming you’ve been trained in the correct application methods, but the course is not a replacement for your Certificate III in Solid Plastering (CPC31020) or similar qualifications. Rather, it’s best to have formal training prior to attending our course.

Can beginners attend microcement training courses?

Our microcement training cours is not designed for beginners, with some trades experience required. It’ll be easiest to pick up for plasterers or renderers, although having a background in related surfacing trades like tiling, painting, concreting, or general contracting is also suitable. It’s not recommended to attend if you’re a homeowner looking for DIY finishes in your renovation.

How much does microcement training cost?

The X-Bond Course (1 day) is $990 per person. The X-Bond & Quartz Carpet Course (2 days) is $1320 per person.

Where is training based?

We run our training courses from our Melbourne warehouse. You’re welcome to book if you’re based interstate — our team is happy to provide advice on areas to stay and transport if you’re travelling down.
