Quartz Carpet Specified At July Stores Australia

Every July store in Australia features a unique interior design inspired by its local area. Melbourne’s QV store has a distinctly urban feel as it’s located in the heart of the CBD, while the Sydney Galeries location honours the city’s sun-soaked reputation.

One Design Office crafted July’s QV store in Melbourne as a refined fusion of gallery-like minimalism and thoughtful retail ergonomics.

The CBD’s industrial vibe is reflected by polished concrete, steel, and grey finishes. Quartz Carpet walls present a quiet, sculptural backdrop where carved timber nooks showcase each piece. Our textured stone overlay also provides a surprising visual softness by seamlessly following the wall’s natural curves, yet also carries a sense of monolithic permanence.

At the heart of the store sits a steel island; sleek, sturdy, and beautifully functional just like the brand’s luggage designs. Bench seating creates a relaxed, human-centred zone for customers to consider their purchase — an inviting gesture that echoes the brand’s focus on thoughtful, intentional experiences.

Overall, this store is a masterclass in functional artistry for a retail context: products are featured prominently, but the priority remains on how people interact with them and the perceptions they form of the brand in a space that’s elegant, tactile, and creative.

Despite its polar opposite colour palette, the July Galeries site complements Melbourne’s QV sore by tying in similar elements, like track lighting and curtain dividers.

The mission for July Galeries was to create a retail experience that feels like a holiday, but also honours Sydney’s sun-soaked reputation — all while heroeing the products. The interior draws on the spirit of the “golden age of travel,” embracing the nostalgic glamour of vintage resorts, while also featuring a palette of colours and materials that reference the coastal locale.

This is further achieved with materials like leather, timber, bricks, and our Quartz Carpet — all in warm, rusty tones — that help channel retro luxury. The result is a store that feels less like a pit stop and more like the beginning of your next journey.

Our quartz stone flooring overlay stands up to the demands of a busy retail environment while still conforming to unique architectural briefs like this one. Here, it compliments the other tactile materials and creates visual simplicity with its seamless application.

Quartz Carpet also serves as a thread between the two July stores, striking a balance between individuality and cohesion — something that is so important for brands with multiple retail locations.
