Dissh’s newest stores in two iconic Australian retail hubs — Bondi and Armadale — each have a strong focus on contrasting textures and layering.

Seeking inspiration from the brand’s style DNA, the foundations for Perera’s design story are a sense of relaxed elegance and contemporary minimalism.

As installer Alt. Surfaces said, “tying into the understated luxury that Dissh is now known for, the Armadale store is a balancing act of restraint and creativity, where simplicity meets the unexpected.”

Neutral shades warmly greet shoppers, who feel instantly grounded in an earth-toned oasis. Texturally, a balance of soft and hard finishes create tactile richness — with the main characters being travertine, carpet, and microcement. Specifically, both spaces feature seamless X-Bond Microcement flooring, expertly trowelled around mosaic stone tiles.

The Bondi project was shortlisted for for 2024’s Retail Design Award at the Australian Interior Design Awards (DIA).
