Specification Guidelines for each X-Bond Finish
Finish: X-Bond Hybrid
Sealer: Satin Stone
CHARACTERISTICS / APPLICATION:
X-Bond is a combination of Stone Tex, which is a sand and cement mixture and liquid latex called X-Bond liquid. When mixed it forms a thin cementitious finish. A liquid colour pigment is mixed with the X-Bond compound, changing the colour of the whole mixture. X-Bond Hybrid is a finish that’s hand-trowelled over an existing surface at approximately 2-3mm thick. The finish is then lightly sanded. To finish it is then sealed with our dual-sealer system, using both SEMCO Matte Sealer & Satin Stone, which is a surface mounting sealer.
APPEARANCE:
Trowel Marks

Matt / Satin in appearance
Please note: under feature lights and natural light trowel marks become more evident. This is a natural characteristic of the finish.

Finish: Concrete Colour Stain
Sealer: Satin Stone / Natural Shield
CHARACTERISTICS / APPLICATION:
Pre-Stain water-based colour stain is sprayed over a concrete surface. Pre-Stain does not build up on the surface, change the texture of the concrete, or mask damage. Every concrete will absorb the stain differently therefore no two projects will ever be the same. The matt sealer does not build up on the surface; instead, it penetrates into the concrete leaving the surface natural in appearance. It does not change the texture of the concrete. To finish, 4x coats of Satin Stone or 3x coats of Natural Shield is applied
APPEARANCE:
Translucent colour stain and colour variation
Concrete grain will be seen through the stain
Matt in appearance
Texture of existing concrete
Imperfections from the concrete substrate will be visible
AREAS OF SUITABILITY:
Pre-Stain must go over concrete substrate and is suitable for:
Internal and external floors
Internal and external walls
Pre-Stain is not suitable for showers
