Seamless Overlays Takes New Zealand

At Seamless Overlays, we’re looking to grow our presence across New Zealand, connecting X-Bond Microcement with more trades — and ultimately more designers, home owners, and projects across the country.

A big part of that next step is finding the right people to grow with us. We’re building a network of skilled New Zealand applicators who are interested in working with our products, expanding their offering and becoming part of the Seamless Overlays network.

Bringing Seamless Overlays to New Zealand

Over the years, we’ve seen demand for microcement grow considerably since we started supplying it back in 1999.

With a strong architectural and design community, an established renovation market and no shortage of projects embracing natural materials and considered finishes, New Zealand feels like a natural next step for Seamless Overlays.

Central to that expansion is building a network of skilled applicators who understand the level of workmanship required to deliver seamless finishes properly.

This could include renderers, solid plasterers, painters, tilers and other experienced tradespeople with relevant surface preparation and hand-application skills.

For established businesses, it’s an opportunity to introduce another finish to clients who are increasingly looking beyond tiles, conventional renders and other traditional surface materials.

Training to Work With Seamless Overlays

Becoming part of our applicator network starts with understanding the products properly.

Our Seamless Overlays training gives trades the opportunity to get hands-on with our systems, understand correct preparation and application techniques, and build the knowledge needed to confidently introduce seamless finishes into their own business.

For New Zealand trades interested in working with Seamless Overlays, training provides a pathway to becoming familiar with the products before taking them back to your own market.

We know travelling to Melbourne for training is a commitment, but it can be a worthwhile investment in a new arm of your business. You’ll leave with practical experience using the products and a much clearer understanding of the complete system, rather than trying to learn it for the first time on a client project.

For experienced trades based in New Zealand (or other parts of Australia) who aren’t in a position to travel to Melbourne, we also offer trade access to Seamless Overlays products, opening another pathway for professionals interested in bringing our systems to their local market. Get in touch with our team to discuss your experience and the options available.

More Than Supplying Product

Our approach has always been about supporting the people working with our products, rather than simply supplying materials and leaving them to figure out the rest.

As we establish our presence in New Zealand, we want to build relationships with applicators who can confidently represent Seamless Overlays in their local market.

That means providing the product knowledge, technical guidance and ongoing support needed to understand where each system can be used, how substrates should be prepared and how the materials are applied from start to finish.

Ultimately, we want New Zealand clients to have access not only to our products, but to experienced people who know how to use them.

(Note that ongoing technical guidance is only offered to applicators who complete our training. Purchasing material via Trade Access ).
